Poetry by its very nature should be fully experiential, create imagery, becoming visceral and evocative of emotion. The very nature of the poem exists in the sensual world and, thus, it is erotic at the core. In poetry, I hear the words lyrically, as spoken, perhaps even whispered or sung; I see images as they create patterns of meaning in meter – and I see the face of my lover.
Hopefully, you will experience these poems as instances of sensuous experience in words spoken aloud with a lover.

Undone.. Wow, so raw, so real. Sometimes veiled, sometimes not. Exquisitely open, as only poetry can be. I love how much is said in so few words. Sometimes innocently provocative, always tantalizing and scantalizing (using my literary license). Bravo, E.M. I think my most favorite is Dream Escapades as I love trees and roots, light and subsequent shadows, and the depth of the word pictures you create.Product details

Tremendous book of Sappho poetry. And look at that cover.... Had to have the paperback for my library.
This book of poems was excellent and the best thing my wife and I could have picked for our reconnection time. Absolutely amazing material it sits on our bedded table.
These beautiful poems need to be read out loud. To a lover. I loved every poem in the book. I hope the author brings us more. She has a great deal of talent.
I thought this was very sensual and intelligent poetry and spoke to the heart of self discovery and romance. It took me as a reader deep into the heart of the writer's emotions. Insecurity and vulnerability are difficult concepts to capture but Ms Hodge does a wonderful job here. Well done !
This collection of poems is a Treasure and I am putting it at the very top of my bookshelf!! The Descriptive words of passion get me to daydreaming and the more light hearted poems get me smiling. I hope there are many more new poetry books to buy in the future from EM Hodge, one of my new Favorite Authors.
A lovely collection of poems. They are full of fun, sadness, sexiness, loss, and hope. Mostly hope and the experience of new love. The reader experiences the journey from despair to the excitement and contentment of love fulfilled. A really fun book of poetry. I enjoyed every minute of it.
A gorgeous collection of poetry by EM Hodge, it glides, it runs and it slips into your core, defining love in the physical, the emotional and the political planes. Sometimes tender, other times in your face, Hodge lays down her words with the passion and precision of a master architect. Winner of the 2015 Golden Crown Literary Society Goldie Award for poetry, EM Hodge is brilliant and not to be missed.
